Meeting

We will organise a suitable time to meet with you on site. In these meetings we require that all decision makers are present so nothing is missed.

Steve or Bob will discuss with you ideas, needs, wants, budget, location and timeframe.

A checklist will be used to make sure we cover everything. We find that this successful approach ensures that your building or renovation experience is as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

Meeting

We begin with a Start Smart Consultation—an on-site meeting where we explore all your ideas and visions for your renovation or build. Steve, drawing on his years of industry experience, will guide the discussion, oAering insights and suggestions tailored to your needs.

To make the most of this consultation, we request that all decision-makers be present. This ensures nothing is overlooked and everyone is aligned from the start.

Using a comprehensive checklist, we’ll cover essential details such as your goals, budget, location, and timeframe. This thorough approach sets the foundation for a smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable building experience.

Plans

Whether you already have plans in hand or need assistance developing them, we’re here to
help. With our extensive experience and industry knowledge, we can guide you every step of the
way.

We collaborate closely with trusted architects and draftsmen to bring your vision to life. From
initial concepts to final plans, we ensure every detail aligns with your goals and lifestyle.

Navigating the Council approval process can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make it
easier. We work with reliable professionals, including Coastplan and Accuplan, to streamline
submissions and ensure a smooth process from start to finish.

Pricing

For larger renovations, once your final plans are ready, we’ll work with our experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare a detailed and transparent building quote.

The quote will clearly outline all inclusions and exclusions, providing you with a complete understanding of the project costs. This level of detail is particularly important for larger projects, helping ensure a smooth and successful renovation process without unexpected surprises.

For smaller renovations, we typically provide a fixed price proposal following the Start Smart Consultation.

We offer both Fixed Price and Cost Plus contract options and are happy to work with whichever
suits you best. During the planning stage, we’ll discuss the benefits of each option to help you
choose the one that aligns with your needs and goals.

Contract

Once you’ve accepted your proposal and the final building plans are in place (for larger renovations), it’s time to move to the contract stage.

We use HIA building contracts because they are clear, straightforward, and easy to understand.

Following signing the contract, you’ll also receive a Home Owners Warranty Insurance policy provided by icare HBCF, oAering you a 7-year structural warranty for peace of mind.

At this stage, you’ll likely meet some of our team members who will be working closely with us to bring your dream renovation to life.

Construction begins

With a coordinated start date, now its time for our experienced team to bring your vision to life. Steve leads the project alongside our dedicated Project Coordinator, who helps ensure everything runs smoothly and eAiciently. We also work with a trusted team of suppliers and subcontractors, carefully selected for their quality and reliability.

Communication is a top priority throughout the process. We’ll keep you informed every step of tthe way, providing updates on progress, key milestones, and next steps. You’ll always know what’s happening and who to contact if you have any questions.

Steve oversees all aspects of the project, including budget management, coordinating contractors, sourcing materials, and scheduling inspections by engineers and council.

Now it’s time to sit back, relax, and watch as your dream renovation turns into reality.

Steve is PAC trained and knows the benefit of working with various parties, like designers and architects, to eliminate nasty surprises when it comes time for the project costs.
